Embroidery industry is very much important for garment and textile industry. All customer need a logo of their brand on garment. Embroidery is so much popular and expensive rather than printing process. If you want to setup your own embroidery factory, you need to do capacity calculation based on your machine and manpower. Today we will show you how to calculate capacity of a embroidery industry:

Embroidery Production capacity calculation

Area: Embroidery 

Objectives: To identify embroidery production capacity and set embroidery target plan to achieve ultimate goal.

Machine type:

Name: Automatic embroidery machine 

No. of head per machine= 20 head

Average RPM per head= 700 stitch/min

No of machine= 06 pcs

Average stitch per body= 15000 stitch

Embroidery Capacity calculation: 

For normal embroidery,

Now, 01 head can produce 700 stitches per minute

So, total output per head per shift = (700*60*8) = 336,000 stitches/head [1shift=8hr]

Therefore, per head can produce in 100% efficiency = 336,000 stitches

Then, 01 machine can produce in 100% efficiency= 336,000*20 = 6,720,000 stitches/mc

So, 06 machine can produce in 100% efficiency= 6720000*6= 40320000 stitches/shift

Then, allowances for defective embroidery= 18.75%,

Then, Allowance stitches= 40320000*18.75% = 7,560,000 stitches

Therefore, Total embroidery production stitches per shift = 40320000-7560000

= 32,760,000 stitches/shift

So, average pcs garment production per shift= 32760000/15000 = 2184 pcs/shift

[Average stitches per body= 15000 stitches]

Therefore, average pcs garment production per day= 2184*3 = 6552 pcs/day [1day=3shift]

For 4 to 8 color,

Allowances for defective embroidery= 30%,

Then, Allowance stitches= 40320000*30% = 12,096,000 stitches

So, actual production for 4-8 color= 40320000-12096000 = 28,224,000 stitches/shift

And, average pcs garment produce per shift= 28,224,000/15000= 1881.6 pcs/shift

Therefore, average pcs garment produce per day= 1881.6*3 =5644.8 ≈5645 pcs/day [1day=3shift]

For Applique,

Average stitches per body for applique production= 6000 stitches

RPM per head= 600 stitches/min

So, stitches per head= 600**60*8= 288000 stitches/shift/head

And, production per machine= 288000*20= 5,760,000 stitches/shift/mc

Therefore, total production in 06 machine= 5760000*6= 34,560,000 stitches/shift

Then, Allowances for defective embroidery for applique= 35%,

Then, Allowance stitches= 34560000*35% = 12,096,000 stitches

So, Actual production for applique= 34,560,000 -12,096,000 = 22,464,000 stitches/shift

And, average pcs garment produce per shift= 22,464,000 /6000= 3744 pcs/shift

Therefore, average pcs garment produce per day= 3744*3= 11232 pcs/day [1day=3shift]

Revenue calculation:

Price category-

  1. Price of 1pcs embroidery for color normal = 0.23 USD

Therefore, revenue per day for 1 color normal embroidery= 6552*0.23= 1506.96 ≈ 1507 USD/day

  1. Price of 1pcs embroidery for 4-8 color = 0.25 USD

Therefore, revenue per day for 4-8 color embroidery= 5645*0.25= 1411.25≈ 1411 USD/day

  1. Price of 1pcs embroidery for applique = 0.35 USD

Therefore, revenue per day for applique= 11232*0.35= 3931.2≈ 3931 USD/day
